With your new document or also called canvas, grab the Custom shape tool by pressing the U key on your keyboard. To change it, hold Shift key and repeat hitting U until you get to Custom Shape.
By default, this is what you are going to see with custom shapes. To load another set of shapes, you simply need to click the gear with an arrow icon and a menu will pop out of it. Below you will see the following: Animals, Arrows, Artistic Textures, Banners and Awards, Film, Frames, Grime Vector Pack, LightBulb, Music, Nature, Objects, Ornaments, Shapes, Symbols, Talk Bubbles, Tiles and Web.
For this tutorial, you are going to use the leaf shape with a little tweaking, combined with a letter. Fill your background by changing your foreground color to #510418 and hit the Alt + Backspace key to fill the entire canvas.
Now choose the Leaf 2 shape by hitting the U key from the keyboard. Hold down Shift then tap U several times until you get to the shape tool. Choose the Leaf 2 shape by going to the gear located at the top right corner of the selection then choose Nature. Follow the highlighted image below:
Hold down the Shift key to maintain an equal size of the shape then click and drag on the canvas. Once the shape is in place, hit Ctrl + T to transform the leaf similar to the image below. After you are done, hit the Enter key on the number pad.
